Football Baby!

Wow, I haven't been this excited about football in years. With the combination of Sean's team, College football (we're still on the BYU band wagon), and Omi's big projection screen. I am having a lot of fun on Saturdays.

So Sean was out of another game this past Saturday. We are hoping that with a little rest and some Ibuprofen he will be playing in a few weeks.

The highlight of the morning was when a ball was kicked into the irrigation canal that runs next to the field. Since Sean wasn't in pads, he went into the canal to retrieve the ball. He wasn't even in the center and the water was already to his shoulders.

For our city slicker families...irrigation canals are not the cleanest of water. This water is delivered from Utah Lake toward the Great Salt Lake. Now Utah Lake is not what I call a great place for recreation swimming either. This is somewhat due to the steel plant that is right on the shore. Then after traveling for many miles of collecting garbage it passes by the football field. So when you hear of somebody jumping in the canal, your skin cringes a little bit. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer.

The game was awesome too. There were many good hits and we won again 28-12. After the game at the team meeting, the coach gave a shot-out to Sean for his ball recovery.

If this is not the "cleanest of water" why is Sean in it?
