Well today was Sean's football team's first game. It was a preseason game against the A team from Taylorsville. Sean is on the Bingham B2 Team. We knew the players would be bigger and probably better but Sean's team held their ground. The lost by three touchdowns and a few conversions but were able to get a touchdown in themselves. What impressed me most was the fact that at half time they were down by three touchdowns and actually played better in the second half scoring their first touchdown with two minutes to go and only allowing one more touchdown after that.
Yes moms find the silver lining on any cloud but to give you an idea of the match up, most of the boys on the Taylorsville team were Sean's size or bigger and Sean was one of the largest players on his team, plus he was not allowed to play yet due to not being cleared for his concussion from a few weeks ago.
After the game we went to the doctor to get Sean cleared to play contact and unfortunately he is still tender in his neck and is not balancing when they put his head back. The doctor would like us to take him in to do a CT/MRI to make sure all is well before clearing him. Since Sean has always had a few back and neck problems, we are not sure if they are preexisting or a part of the trauma from his head blow. So Sean will need to wait a little longer before he plays.
All part of football I guess but we will keep you posted as we find out what is going on.

I'm sure Sean is just fine. He just needs extra time.
